What Are Neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are neurotoxin treatments that reduce wrinkles and fine lines formed from the aging process and by hyper-functional muscles. Most of these injectables are composed of botulinum, a substance that provides aesthetic benefits when administered in small doses. These treatments are an excellent choice for certain areas of the face, like the forehead, around the mouth, and the eyes.
What Are the Options?
BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is backed by more than 16 years of published studies. This tried, and true neuromodulator can stop dynamic wrinkles such as crow’s feet, frown lines, worry lines, laugh lines, and neck bands. Sessions take 15-30 minutes to perform.
Xeomin®
Xeomin® injections are perhaps the best alternative to BOTOX® Cosmetic, comprising a similar but “naked” botulinum toxin compound free of added proteins. Xeomin® is essentially the purest form of the injectable formula. This lack of additives means you are less likely to develop a resistance to Xeomin®.
What Results Can I Expect?
Depending on the individual, BOTOX® Cosmetic results can be seen within 5-10 days after treatment; it peaks in 2-4 weeks and will last for 3-6 months.
You can experience the results of your Xeomin® injections within 2-7 days after your visit to our center. The benefits of this aesthetic procedure tend to last an average of 3-4 months but have been reported to last up to six months in some cases.
